Leveraging Human Nature: Mirroring

Mirroring is seen when a person is acting similarly to the person you’re with. The goal is to make the person like you. This works best when you are in a similar status with the other person. Examples are with a colleague, a client you wish to be close, a boss you wish to ingratiate or a lady or a man you’d like to be with.

Mirroring is not effective when used with a person who is of higher stature. It could get annoying and your attempt backfires.
